We started with a job board for the data and AI scene.
Some time ago, we asked in our Data Berlin Slack how we could improve our newsletter, and the majority of people wanted to see more job postings.
The problem with the newsletter is space. Substack has a limit on how long a post can be, and people also asked us to keep events and articles. Moreover, we do not think it is ideal to scroll through 20+ job posts. So instead of squeezing jobs into each issue, we built a separate place for them.
What it is
The Data Berlin job board tracks open data and AI roles at Berlin-based companies. No agency listings, and no jobs that are “Berlin” in name only. If a role is on the board, it is a real Berlin role.
We cover companies like GetYourGuide, Zalando, Delivery Hero, Trade Republic, HelloFresh, SumUp, and many others. Because it is a proper site, we are not space-constrained. You will find product manager and leadership positions here too, which feels right for this community.
Who it is for
Data practitioners in Berlin, or people looking to move here. It is meant to sit alongside the newsletter and the meetup, not to replace LinkedIn or Indeed. You will find more jobs there, but we believe these are more curated and more tailored for our community members. The goal is a short list of real options, updated every few hours. If a job is here, it exists.
What is next
More companies, better search, and eventually a way to get notified about roles that match what you are looking for. Who knows? This is the first iteration, and we are looking forward to your feedback.
